WineAccess.com – Full-Service Wine Retail

During my review of the Burgundy Wine Company in my last post, I stumbled across WineAccess.com as the “engine” that powers its back-end e-commerce platform. Looking into the service a bit more deeply, I’ve discovered a comprehensive multi-faceted array of products that intelligently interlock and serve everyone from the casual wine enthusiast to the wine store, to wine importers, to the vineyard owner.

Basically the e-commerce engine for a number of online wine stores (over 100), WineAccess.com boasts what it can confidently call the world’s largest wine selection. Brick and mortar wine stores looking for an easy online presence need look no further than WineAccess’ “Storefronts”.

Wine Access Direct is another product in their line, where they are able to offer unique, small-batch wines to their customers; this benefits both the collector, in search of unique wines, as well as the vintner.

Not content with just selling the wine, Wine Access charges additionally for subscriptions to two separate wine reviews:

Not coincidentally, Steven Tanzer yearly publishes The WineAccess Buyer’s Guide: The World’s Best Wines and Where to Find Them.

And what better way is there to lock in consistent, month-after-month profits than a monthly wine club?
WineAccess Monthly is their offering in the space, and offers a free subscription to the CellarNotes buying guide newsletter.

Around since 1997, WineAccess is a complete, comprehensive offering with something for everyone in the wine retail space. Worth a look from many perspectives, and worthy of admiration for the way they have merchandised the wine retail space online.

  1. Just don’t order any wine durring the winter, I ordered wine from them back on Feb 3, 2009 and here it is march 10th and still no wine.

They charged me for it, the money is gone but the
    wine is not.

This is the first time I have ever ordered from this company, they send me information on new wines to purchase almost everyday. I cannot see ordering any more without the first order slowing up at my door.

  2. Dan,
Thanks for your note – odd that you’ve received no update or status from them…
They certainly don’t make it easy to get in touch with them, deliberately hiding any phone numbers or email addresses.
    Have you tried emailing wacs@wineaccess.com?
Sorry that you’re having such an issue with your order.
    Hopefully, they’ll follow through soon.
    Miike
